Gino Rea 4 (WSS race; rt):“This weekend has been tough. We did well to get through to Superpole 2 but unfortunately our problems began on Satuday and continued to Sunday. At the start of the warm up lap for the race, my bike stopped completely. I was able to restart it but I was a long way behind the safety car. I caught it up as it was entering the pitane at the end of the lap and I continued to my normal starting position, at the same time as the other riders. There was no instruction from any of the officials to start at the back of the grid or to enter pitlane. Then in the race I would have been in the top 8, even with some bike difficulties, but the officials gave me a ride through penalty. The first time I saw this penalty board, I entered the pits but I was already black flagged, so my race ended there. It is frustrating as we needed to score points here to start our season. We will work hard to improve and stay positive for Aragon.”
Kazuki Watanabe (WSS race : 9th): “From Friday morning I had a good pace, we worked a lot for the race and the biggest obstacle that we have right now is the power of the engine at low rpm, in high rpm the power not lacking, but we lack a bit of acceleration. Unfortunately I still can not make the fastest lap in qualifying, and I have to work on this, if we can start on the ahead of the grid we can stay with the front group. The race went well, I made another good recovery and was able to conquer the top 10 at the end, I’m happy with this result. Thanks to the whole team.”
Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager):“Thailand for Go Eleven has never been an easy race, but this year we took the satisfaction of entering the top ten in the sbk, and for us this is very important.
